In 2004 having owned Triumphs and Morgans for over 20 years, Lyn & Graham decided to combine their love of France, classic cars and 14 years experience in organising car tours to France for members of the Morgan Sports Car Club, to develop La Rose des Vents, with the facilities to satisfy the most discerning classic car owner.
They know first hand, what it is like to travel with limited luggage space, so everything is provided: pool towels, picnic rugs, hampers, umbrellas, a book of prepared scenic routes of this beautiful area, details of places to visit and restaurants to try, secure undercover parking and access to a garage and tools for running repairs.
Since then, many classic car enthusiasts and members of classic car clubs have found their way to La Rose des Vents, from around the world and the beautiful cars have ranged from Ferraris, MGs, TVRs, Jaguars, pre-war Lagondas, Austin Healeys, and of course many Morgans.......why not read some of their Reviews here.
In addition to the options of booking a self catering cottage with optional welcome dinner, a B & B mini break or an overnight stop in a luxury B & B room in the 19th century Manor House, groups of friends/car club members can also book a classic car tour for 4-12 cars to explore this beautiful Region on a date of their choice from April - October.
CLASSIC CAR TOURS
Staying in a luxury cottage you can enjoy all the benefits of an organised tour, breakfast and dinner included (some at local restaurants) but with the flexibility of more than just a hotel room to call your own - a fully equipped cottage with private gardens, your own heated swimming pool and the facilites to prepare meals/BBQ from the delicious produce and specialities available in the local markets if you so wish.
This is fantastic driving country with empty roads and beautiful scenery, The scenic routes take you off the beaten track, through vineyards, picturesque countryside and unspoilt villages. Everything is organised for you, including a detailed itinerary and roadbook, guided tours of places of interest, first class cuisine and reserved parking.
Tours can be organised for small groups of friends/classic car members of 4-12 cars on request, In Spring and Autumn the weather is balmy and an ideal time to explore this beautiful Region.
In addition to the cottages, there are 3 additional luxury B & B rooms in the Manor House (also available for classic car owners, stopping over in the area, seeking a restful night's sleep and a delicious dinner), and if the group comprises more than 8 couples, there is additional luxury accommodation within 15 minutes drive which can be arranged.

Since 2005, Lyn & Graham have been organising their "Circuit des Remparts Special". A must for classic car owners and previous years have all been a sell out. Join them the third weekend in September for a week to explore the delights of the Charente Maritime, and the excitement of the historic Circuit des Remparts, classic car race meeting held in Angouleme. Admire the entrants of the Concourse d' elegance; participate in the 200 km Charente Tourist Rally and enjoy the adrenaline charged racing on the Sunday. Not forgetting the annual lunch in the garden with local classic car enthusiastes!

This tour offers you the opportunity of taking seven days to explore an area rich in history from Roman amphitheatres, medieval towns and Renaissance chateaux, Bordeaux the city of light, and modern Royan rebuilt following WW2, driving deserted roads through vineyards to the Atlantic beaches.
This bespoke rally organised in May, for members of the Lagonda Owners Club offered a week of gentle driving and good food. In September 2012, intrepid Lagonda owners, braved awful weather and a Brittany Ferry strike , to pave the way. In 2013, the tour was fully catered, restaurants were all Michelin listed or Table Gourmand de Poitou, and scenic routes included visits to chateaux, stunning gardens, the il de Re, a riverboat trip, and naturally lots of opportunities to sample the local cognac, pineau and wines.
TRACK DAY OPTION
Jean Pierre Beltoise (ex Formula 1 driver, former Monaco Grand Prix winner and co-driver with Sir Jackie Stewart at Matra) has opened an F1 homolgenated circuit just 45 minutes from La Rose des Vents. This state of the art race circuit set in 200 hectares, provides a 2.3 km long race circuit, compelte with fully equipped paddock, plus a 1.1 km karting circuit equipped with electric karts. www.circuitdehautesaintonge.com

The business was established in 2005 and as a"tour operator" we are governed by "The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations" 1992 (SI 1992 No 3288) As a consequence we are required by law to protect clients' pre-payments. We do this by ensuring that all monies paid to us by a client are held in a separate clients' deposit trust account from which they are only withdrawn on completion of the contract, defined as the end of the Tour. The client trust account is held by our bank in the UK.
