Luxury Holiday Cottages - Charente Maritime

Two luxury 3 bedroom cottages (Official Tourist Board 4 star rating)  set discretely within 2.5 acres of gated grounds of a former Cognac Domaine in the Charente Maritime; where you can chill out by the 11 x 5.5 metre heated swimming pool set in the orchard.

Each spacious property has been sympathetically restored to preserve the original character, furnished in a mix of English and French country style and  equipped to ensure your comfort: Fibre high speed internet connection, SKY Freeview TV & DVD player; music system; electric heating, washing machine and tumble dryer; dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave .....and the kitchens are equipped for the keenest cooks!

There are comfy sofas and armchairs to relax in, well stocked bookcases and glossy magazines to read, plus indoor board games to keep the children amused. To ensure a relaxing stay, quality beds  are made up for your arrival with Egyptian cotton sheets and Provencal throws. Cosy bedrooms are well furnished with pine and painted wardrobes, dressing tables, bedside tables (with good reading lights), and chests of drawers. There are snuggly duvets for the cooler months, and electric fans to keep you cool in summer. 

Spacious bathrooms and ensuite shower rooms have pretty provencal tiles, heated towel rails and are stocked with fluffy white towels, a hairdryer and pool towels.

Both cottages have electric heating and gas hobs (utility costs plus heating for the pool and WIFI is included in the rental tariff).

Each house  has it's own private flower filled, walled garden/courtyard with sunny patios equipped with BBQs, teak garden furniture and umbrellas, and outdoor candle lights so you can dine under the stars.

The heated swimming pool ( for sole use of guests) is set in the organic orchard and there is a large grassed area for ball games. Pétanque, swing ball, and badminton are available on site. If you wish you can hire bicycles from a local company who will deliver them to your cottage ready for your arrival...
