LONG WEEKEND AND MID WEEK BREAKS

La Rose des Vents is easily accessible from the airports at La Rochelle (approx 1 hr), Bordeaux (1 1/12 hrs) Poitiers (2 hrs),  or if you arrive by shuttle, the TGV station at Angouleme is just 40 minutes away.

Coupled with the famous  micro climate of  the Charente Maritime, the second sunniest region in  France,  it offers an ideal location for a long weekend or mid week break.

If you are visiting the area on a house hunting trip, to view houses for sale in the Charente or Charente Maritime, celebrating a special event/anniversary, or  just want to recharge your batteries in peace and quiet, soak up the sunshine, visit the world famous Cognac Houses,  and sample the local  cuisine, why not book a 3 night break?  (If you want to stay for 5 - 7 days, additional nights B & B can also be reserved).

You will  stay in one of the luxury cottages and enjoy all the facilities and privacy  it offers, with breakfast served in your cottage - or on warm summer mornings you may prefer to breakfast in your private courtyard/walled garden with just the birdsong to break the silence

Breakfast consists of fruit juice, yoghurt, a fresh fruit plate, a selection of freshly baked breads/croissants/pain au chocolat, butter and home made preserves.  Complimentary tea, herb teas and coffee are always available during your stay.

Afternoon tea and home made cakes are served on arrival, and on your first night the tariff includes joining the  resident owners in the Manor House for aperitifs  , followed by a 4 course dinner with wine, coffee & cognac.

A complimentary ride through the vineyards in a Morgan sports car is also included.

Lyn & Graham are happy to offer suggestions of places to visit to get the most out of your break and will  reserve restaurant  tables, book  tours of the Cognac Houses,  river trips, and rounds of golf as requested.   Celebrating a special event/anniversary?  Champagne, flowers,  & chocolates can also be arranged.
