When winter arrives in the Charente Maritime, early mornings and evenings are crisp, but days can offer bright blue skies and sunshine. It has been known to snow and sharp frosts are not uncommon.

However, Christmas and New Year in the region can be magical, with beautiful Christmas lights adorning the towns, concerts, Christmas markets and gastronomic delights for sale in the shops and markets.

Take advantage of those cheap flights/care hire (or bring your car via the ferry/tunnel - for all those purchases). Enjoy leisurely days in Cognac – why not visit one of the famous Cognac Houses, nearby Saintes a beautiful Roman town and medieval St Jean d’Angely

You can choose between a 5 or 7 night stay in one of our luxury self catering cottages between 29th November – 20th December. The tariff based on a minimum of 4 people sharing one cottage is £220 per person for a 5 night stay, and £265 per person for a 7 day stay - includes:

The Christmas/New Year tariff for up to 6 guests sharing accommodation in a luxury cottage for 7 nights is £900, complete with decorated Christmas Tree, and a welcome 4 course dinner with Champagne cocktails, wine and Cognac served in the Manor House for each member of the party.
