Since opening in 2005, Cottages and Classics have welcomed many classic car enthusiastes and members of Classic Car Clubs to La Rose des Vents, from around the world including America, Canada, Sweden, France, England, Scotland & Wales. The beautiful cars have ranged from Ferrari, MGs, TVRs, Triumphs, Jaguars, Austin Healeys, and of course many Morgans! A great favourite has been the Circuit des Remparts classic car tour.
Having owned classic cars for over 20 years - and with Lyn's experience as Centre Organiser for the East Anglian Centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club for 14 years, during which time, she organised an annual " French Foray" for up to 20 Morgans, exploring the different Regions of France each year - Lyn & Graham are well qualified in organising Classic Car Tours which allow you to enjoy a stress free holiday.
This is fantastic driving country with empty roads and beautiful scenery. The scenic routes take you off the beaten track, through vineyards, picturesque countryside and unspoilt villages. Everything is organised for you, including a detailed itinerary and road book, guided visits to places of interest, first class cuisine and reserved parking.

CLASSIC TOUR OF THE CHARENTE MARITIME
Offering an introduction to this beautiful Region, the tour visits La Rochelle and the beautiful Il de Re; Brantome & Aubeterre in the Dordogne, the historic naval centre at Rochefort, medieval Pons, the bastide of Talmont, and the Atlantic coast at Royan - not forgetting a guided tour and tasting at Hennessy in Cognac.
Since 2005, Lyn & Graham have been organising their "Circuit des Remparts Special". A must for classic car owners and previous years have all been a sell out. Join them the third weekend in September for a week to explore the delights of the Charente Maritime, and the excitement of the historic Circuit des Remparts, classic car race meeting held in Angouleme. Admire the entrants of the Concourse d' elegance; participate in the 200 km Charente Tourist Rally and enjoy the adrenaline charged racing on the Sunday. Not forgetting the annual lunch in the garden with local classic car enthusiastes!

TREASURES OF SOUTH WEST FRANCE

Jean Pierre Beltoise (ex Formula 1 driver, former Monaco Grand Prix winner and co-driver with Sir Jackie Stewart at Matra) has opened an F1 homolgenated circuit just 45 minutes from La Rose des Vents.
