Lyn & Graham looked after us admirably with great patience and clarity - it must have been like herding cats.  Support went beyond accommodation and catering, to nurse our pre war cars and advice on parking, fuel, shops gardens and French protocol.  The week was good, but much better for this additional support.

Visiting La Rose des Vents was like visiting family,  We were made to feel more than welcome. Lyn & Graham are the most delightful hosts.  Manor cottage is gorgeous, immaculate and comfortable - more beautiful than the photos on line, and this area of France beats all the rest hands down! Thank you for a memorable stay - one we will never forget.

A wonderful welcome, followed by  6 great days including the Circuit des Remparts, Angouleme  rally  & racing, brilliantly organised for us by Lyn & Graham.  We loved every moment.  Manor cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed and a pool warm enough to swim in.  Lovely breakfasts with croissants from the local bakers.   We may well be back!

Deferred for 12 months from 2020 we finally made it to the Peeks' and the Angouleme event.  Loved all the careful organisation/tours and of course the gites themselves. Thank you Lyn & Graham!

We followed "Fergil" in our Volvo and on arrival were upgraded in the form of Lyn & Grahams' ivory Plus 4 Morgan!  Everything wonderful, the company, the food, the accommodation, the food, the classic car, the food, the wine, the food - you get the idea.   Angouleme was lovely with more food, driving and lots of pretty cars to oggle.  Chateau Chesnel was fascinating.   Did I mention the food, the swimming pool, the lovely company     PS forgot the figs, Lyn's delicious fig jam and fig & ginger chutney.   If Lyn & Graham "propos un repas"   don't  miss it!  PPS forgot the lovely cats and kits.

Circuit des Remparts Special 2019.   To everything I said in September 2007 ++.  Graham & Lyn are exactly the same  as when we stayed 12 years ago. Manor cottage is exactly the same but enhanced,  the pool just as good.  Village a haven of peace.   However the whole package is so much more comprehensive.  My friends and I have had an amazing time.   Lyn has organised so many things for us. So many amazing lunches, breakfasts,  reserved parking in Angouleme, Cognac tastings, Chateaux visits.  We feel spoilt but in a good way!

Having recently taken over the job of Centre Secetary of the New Forest Centre MSCC  it was a real pleasure to  meet Lyn (ex Anglemog Centre Secretary) & Graham themselves.  Their Morgan knowledge and subsequent experience with their business was fascinating.  Furthermore, to meet a good number of the French "Morganeers" at the Monday lunch in the gardens, was an additional pleasure for us.  Great location, lovely people, "Circuit des Remparts Special" Angouleme is a must do again, and made perfect by Lyn & Graham's attention to planning & detail.  Thank you both.

Super week, beautiful weather helped but Lyn had organised fabulous venues, lunch destinations and  clear interesting routes for us  to take in our modern Aston Martin & Alfa Romeo cars.  The routes and destinations were fantastic and it was equally wonderful to come home to a sumptuous supper.  Just the sort of holiday we like, and our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Very many thanks for a fantastic stay.  The welcome was great, the accommodation, garden and pool was charming and comfortable.  Hospitality was generous and good humoured and the food delicious.  Your guidance regarding destinations and road book was invaluable to us, and showed us the Bordeaux vineyards at their best. We have enjoyed it all, thank you.

One particular delight of the drive through France is an overnight stop off with Lyn & Graham, at La Tacherie nr Cognac.  They have a lovely manor house, excellent accommodation and the food and wine are outstanding (Plus they are Morgan owners and run a regional car club).  The accommodation was a real find, a secluded swimming pool to use after the drive from St Malo, and a highly enjoyable stopover.

We have had a lovely time here, thank you Lyn & Graham for being perfect hosts for the home made jam and chutney and for the fantastic welcome meal on our first night. We have enjoyed exploring the countryside aided by your local knowledge and scenic drives.  Particularly good was the Jarnac scenic drive.  The pool was very welcome as the weather was so hot! We have had an amazing week in Manor Cottage and this wonderful area of France. From the moment we arrived and had the delicious welcome meal prepared by Lyn, we knew we were in for a treat. What made it extra special was a spin in one of the Morgans around the countryside - something never to be forgotten for my 50th birthday. The accommodation and hospitality by Lyn & Graham is first class and we will join the long queue of previous visitors wishing to return.  Best wishes and thanks for everything.

Anyone looking for a base from which to explore the Charente Maritime region by  car, or just take it easy, should seriously consider La Rose des Vents in the tiny village of La Tacherie, just 15 minutes drive from Cognac.  This gated collection of 3 properties run by owners Lyn & Graham, both motoring enthusiastes, with an in-depth knowledge of places to go and eateries.  They even have a small fleet of Morgan sports cars for hire.  The properties are very well appointed, well maintained and clean and share a heated swimming pool.  And the owners go out of their way to make sure that staying there a pleasure.
