For 20 years we have been welcoming groups of classic car owners to La Rose des Vents.   We specialise in organising small and friendly, relaxed house party style classic car tours on demand.

Tours can be organised for groups of  4 -12 guests.  You chose the dates, then leave the rest to us!

• Enjoy all the benefits of an organised tour but with the flexibility of more than just a hotel room to call your own - the space and privacy of a luxury cottage, delicious breakfasts and dinners, a heated swimming pool, secure parking in gated grounds (and the use of a garage and tools, if required!)
• Selection of Signature tours available, including our "Circuit des Remparts Angouleme Special", or we can organise a bespoke tour to meet your group's requirements
• Everything is organised for you - a detailed itinerary with roadbook, entry tickets and guided tours, first class cuisine and reserved parking
• A unique experience - we know all the best driving roads to take you off the beaten track, through rolling vineyards and fields of sunflowers to unspoilt villages in the Charente, Charente Maritime, Dordogne and Bordeaux regions, local classic car events, places of interest and fabulous restaurants

• Relax in a self-catering cottage with the option of a welcome dinner on your first night, and explore the area with a selection of prepared scenic routes available in the welcome folder in each cottage……
• .... and for short stopovers en route to the south or north, bed & breakfast in the Manor House is available in 3 luxury bedrooms for classic car owners, seeking a restful night's sleep, with the option of a delicious dinner.

CLASSIC TOUR OF THE CHARENTE & CHARENTE MARITIME - 7 nights

Explore La Rochelle and the Il de Re; Brantome & Aubeterre sur Dronne in the Dordogne; the historic naval centre of Rochefort, Historic Tusson & Verteuil sur Charente, a private tour of Chateau Chesnel; drive on sweeping roads through rolling hills of vineyards and picturesque villages - not forgetting a guided tour and tasting at one of the world famous Cognac Houses.

CIRCUIT DES REMPARTS, ANGOULEME 2024 - 7 nights

Our Circuit des Remparts  Angouleme Special is a must for classic car owners. Join us on 12th September 2024 for 7 nights to explore the Charente Maritime, and the excitement of the historic Circuit des Remparts, classic car race meeting held in Angouleme.  Admire the entrants for the Concourse d' elegance; participate in the 200km Charente  Rally; Reserved grandstand seats will ensure you enjoy the adrenaline charged racing on Sunday. Not forgetting a private tour and tasting of Chateau du Cognac (Otard), and the annual lunch in the garden with local classic car enthusiasts!  Now taking bookings for 2024.

A TASTE OF COGNAC & BORDEAUX - 7 nights

Seven stunning days to explore SW France - this time with the emphasis on gastronomy, sampling the best local specialities, wines and cognacs available. Your itinerary will include a private guided tour of Remy Martin. Its’ historic house and aging cellars, degustation of VSOP & XO Cognacs accompanied by gourmet appetizers, followed by an aperitif and gastronomic lunch in a private lounge of Club de Remy Martin; with time left over to explore the town of Cognac.

Take the car ferry across the Gironde to the Medoc for a tour and tasting through one of the great wine lists of the world.

During the week the road book includes those obligatory scenic routes, along the coast to the famous Il de Re, and sweeping roads through vineyards to visit historic sites - the roman amphitheatre at Les Bouchards, and Rochefort home of the historic dockyards where the frigate l’Hermione, which took General Lafayette to America has been reconstructed.

IN SEARCH OF THE ANGELS' SHARE - 4 nights

A fun filled mid week, or long weekend tour. Explore the region with daily scenic runs on sweeping, traffic free roads The Itinerary includes a Treasure Hunt (in English); a guided tour of the historic town of Cognac, a fun way to learn about the Angels Share (Cognac) & Pineau the local apero including tastings; a tour of the stunning Chateau Rochecourbon and a visit to the the charming il de Re.

You select the date, and we will discuss with you the different options of scenic routes, places to visit, meal plans and restaurants tailored to meet your interest and pocket.
